Katie Kerkhover (owner) is an accomplished violinist / fiddle player from a small town in Illinois. She began playing the violin at the age of 4, studying the Suzuki method and moved to Nashville in 2003 to pursue violin studies at Belmont University. At the age of 15, she was the recipient of the esteemed Kennedy Center honor. She has toured nationally with country super stars, Billy Currington, Sara Evans, Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson. DAYNA OSAN

Dayna Osan was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida, where she began violin lessons at the age of four. She continued to study the violin through college and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. While attending college she received the opportunity to perform in Austria, France, and Canada. After graduating she began teaching and performing in the Jacksonville, FL area. Although classically trained on the violin, Dayna enjoys improvisatory playing and other styles of music, such as Bluegrass. She also enjoys working with local bands to arrange string accompaniments for their music. Dayna has been instructing with us for a year and a half and teaches individual lessons Monday - Thursday.
MICAH BUTLER
(Weekly Teacher)
Micah began studying violin at age five through an after school Suzuki program in Lynchburg, VA. She started teaching private lessons in high school and continued teaching through college. With a Russian major and music minor, Micah graduated from The College of William & Mary in 2016. She moved to Nashville to attend the Massey College of Business at Belmont and graduated with her MBA in 2017. Micah began teaching at Shuff’s music during grad school and currently teaches private lessons on Mondays and Thursdays.
